Recipe for vegan shrimp

Only a few simple ingredients and a little cooking time are needed to produce this delicious vegan shrimp recipe. This recipe mocks the flavors and textures of southern fried shrimp, one of America’s all-time favorite dishes, but it’s much better for you.

King oyster mushrooms, if you’ve never seen them before, are a tall, lanky fungus. Stamens are in the shape of a large cylinder.

Recipe for the Best Vegan Shrimp

After you’ve chopped through all of your shrimp and prepared them for breading, it’s time to cook! Three little bowls, one with flour, one with flax seed and the other with my bread crumb mixture, were set up on my counter.

After coating them with flour, I dipped them in wet flaxseed to finish them off. Like egg, flaxseed serves as a glue to hold things together. It does an excellent job of securing everything in place.

After that, it’s time to coat the vegan shrimp in the breadcrumb mixture. Simple snack to prepare, just combine some prepared breadcrumbs with the Old Bay Seasoning blend and stir until well combined. Old Bay Seasoning was mixed with Blue Dragon Panko breadcrumbs. Old Bay is a delicious seasoning with a powerful flavor and a kick to it.

After that, it’s time to bake the vegan shrimp for around 20 minutes in the oven. You may also stir fry these if you wish, but I try to keep things as simple as possible when it comes to preparing food. Using an air fryer is a fantastic alternative as well.

Make Vegan Shrimp: Follow These Directions!

As a finger meal, these vegan shrimp are fantastic with a dipping sauce. As for the sauce, vegan mayonnaise works just fine, but I prefer a punchy sauce so I prepared my own vegan shrimp sauce from scratch. Simple snack is good, so if you don’t want to make your own, just get one from the store. Take, for instance, a vegan jalapeo mayo with a kick.

Vegetables are a great side dish for vegan shrimp, just use whatever vegetables you find in the fridge, but don’t forget to rinse the vegetables thoroughly under running water.

Vegan shrimp recipe

The following ingredients:

  • 5 stalks of King oyster mushroom;
  • 2 tablespoons flaxseed meal;
  • ordinary flour, about three tablespoons;
  • Panco breadcrumbs, about one-quarter cup;
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt;
  • sunflower oil;
  • modified starch.

Instructions

Make a slit in the king oyster mushrooms’ stems. Each stalk should have 3-4 ciricle disks cut off of it. To make two vegan’shrimp’ shapes, flip the disk over and cut a S in the middle the wrong way around.

Add flour to the first bowl, flaxseed that has been activated with water to the second, and your prepared breadcrumbs to the third. Combine all three ingredients well.

1/4 cup warm water activates the flaxseed. Add part of the water back in and let the flax soak for a little. Flax eggs are common names for this product.

At this point, prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper and preheating the oven to a medium-high setting.

After that, coat each’shrimp‘ completely with flour. Continue with the flaxseed and follow the same procedure. In this recipe, the flaxseed acts as a binder, tying together the vegan shrimp and breadcrumbs. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the shrimp are sizzling hot after being rolled in breadcrumbs and placed on a baking sheet.

Serve hot in a sandwich or with a dipping sauce, gluten free.
